Kia ora valued community members,
Over the years, M.A.C.T has grown into an extraordinary team of volunteers, and we extend our immense gratitude to each and every one of you. Your dedication has been the driving force behind our organisation’s success!

We’re excited to share news about Annie, a pivotal member of our team who has played a crucial role in our operations, particularly in areas such as intake, recovery, and the care of our feline friends. Annie has been presented with a fantastic opportunity related to her
degree of Horticultural Science, which she is about to complete, and has accepted a job as a Lab Manager in Tauranga. While we’re thrilled for her, this means that our operations will undergo some changes. Despite being a 5-hour drive away, Annie is not leaving us but will
continue to support and manage operations from a distance, including overseeing our Facebook page, so for all of you she is still just a message away!

We want to emphasise that Annie’s move is a significant step, filled with various emotions, but it is crucial for her career growth, and we couldn’t be prouder of her. It’s important to note that her residence, which has served as our recovery room, intake area, and donation drop- off point, will no longer be available for drop-offs. Please contact us to arrange drop-offs at our new location.

Fear not! Our doors will remain open! Our incredible team of volunteers has stepped up, dividing responsibilities such as kitten intake, trap loans, recovery, and various Alley Cats tasks. While the trapping process will now involve the requesting party handling the trapping aspect and, in cases of TNR, the recovery themselves, rest assured, we’ll be here to offer support and advice every step of the way.

We acknowledge that this change may present challenges, and our ability to assist as many people may be affected as we adjust to this new way of operating. During this transition, we kindly request your patience and support. Remember, we are a volunteer-based charity, and none of us receive financial compensation for our efforts.

Although we may not physically be able to assist everyone, our advice remains freely accessible. Sometimes, all you need is a bit of guidance and support, and we’re here for that.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support. Together, we continue to make a positive impact on the lives of these wonderful creatures.
