Domestic Colony Control (DCC)

We understand that not all companion cats are desexed, and in some situations, this can lead to an increasing number of cats in and around a property. These domesticated pets can breed, and their kittens—if not socialised—risk becoming unsocialised colony cats. Our goal is not to pass judgment on anyone, but to offer education and assistance. We are here to help by providing desexing, microchipping (registered to the owner), flea and worm treatments, and rehoming services for surrendered cats.
If there are more than five cats on your property, you may qualify for our Domestic Colony Control services. For properties with fewer than five cats, we recommend arranging desexing independently.

To assist with DCC, we require permission to desex all cats on the property and for all kittens to be surrendered to our rescue for rehoming. Please note, we can only desex cats with the owner's consent. If you're concerned about a neighboring property, we encourage you to have a conversation with them before reaching out to us.

While we will make every effort to help rehome adult cats, foster care for adults is limited and often unavailable. In these cases, we use community-based rehoming posts to find them a loving home.

Please note: All services are dependent on foster care availability and vet capacity. As a small rescue, our resources are limited, and we may not always be able to assist immediately. However, we’ll do our best to guide you toward a solution.
